Douglas Cutting

Broker in Charge and founder of Blue Wing Properties, Douglas is an experienced outdoorsman and land broker with a diverse background in the woods and on the water. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Davidson College, a master’s in writing from UNC Wilmington, a USCG captain’s license, and real estate broker licenses in North Carolina and South Carolina.

He has assisted with the purchase and sale of over 100,000 acres in the Carolinas in his career, including closing $49 million in land transactions in 2023. Moreover, he takes pride in helping people discover the underlying joy and details in the outdoors and through the land-owning experience. Douglas recently published a book entitled Undertones that features clips of writing from the southern saltmarsh. He lives on Daniel Island with his wife Jeni, son Hunter, daughter Adelaide, and their yellow lab, May.
